Built to be better: for our students, their families and the future they will shape

Commitment to our learners is at the heart of everything we do. As we help them prepare for the years ahead, it’s equally important to reflect on the way we work. We believe that incorporating sustainability into our business practices reflects our collected responsibility towards building a future for generations to come.

We are re-evaluating how we run our business, building the knowledge we need to plan our path, and identifying ways we can continue to act with care and purpose. We’ve already made changes, and we’re proud of what we have achieved so far. But we’re even more committed to what comes next, guided with the intention to continue to listen, learn, and lead by example.

What we've done so far...

Reducing energy use

  • We power our site using green electricity, with no reliance on gas or fossil fuels.​​​

  • We have invested in  site improvements including installation of insulation and damp proofing to reduce energy consumption required to heat and maintain the premises.

Responsible purchases

We are reviewing our suppliers to ensure their values reflect our own. Going forward, we aim to prioritise suppliers with strong ethical and environmental credentials across all areas of our business.

Digital sustainability

We recognise the environmental impact of digital operations. Presently, we exploring ways to reduce our digital footprint, ranging from energy-efficient website practices to sustainable data management. Our goal is to implement meaningful changes that reflect best practice in digital sustainability.​

 

Ongoing learning

Sustainability is a learning process. We are committed to ongoing training, staying informed in regards to responsible business practices, and adapting to new standards and insights as they emerge. By staying open to change, we can ensure that our sustainability journey remains relevant, credible, and effective.​

We have made a net zero pledge through the SME Climate Hub, and will continue to track, report, and refine our progress toward that goal.​​​​
