A note from Merlin
"My love of tutoring stems from a deep passion for teaching. I originally planned to pursue a PhD, but during my time at university I realised that my true calling was in education itself. I then pursued a career as a private tutor, and later as a teacher. It has been my pleasure and privilege to work at one of the UK’s most prestigious schools for over 10 years, during which time I also developed the agency.
During my years as a professional private tutor I realised that to make such a deeply personal and significant service genuinely effective, we must move beyond the industry standard. This inspired me to form Merlin Tuition, an agency with an ethos I wish I had encountered during my early career; a company dedicated to excellence in the way it supports both students and tutors, paving the way for outstanding performance and results.
