BECOME A TUTOR

Do you have a passion for teaching?
Do you want to help children and young people reach their potential?
Do you believe in creating a safe and supportive work culture?

Then we want you!

We're always on the lookout for outstanding tutors to join our team.

The role of a Private Tutor is highly rewarding... and your work hours and rates are decided by you. Whether you decide to work in-person or online, we as a company are here to support you and offer guidance when you need it.

At Merlin Tuition we believe in building an inclusive and diverse environment our students and tutors can thrive in.

To create a safe work culture we put safeguarding first, and implement robust practices to ensure everyone who works with children and young people are safe to do so. We support our tutors by ensuring that they receive safeguarding training to help them feel confident in providing a professional tutoring experience where a child's wellbeing is paramount.

If you have anymore questions, please contact us here.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

After registering your interest with us, our team will send you an applicant information pack outlining the application process and will include all the forms and information we require off you to successfully apply.

Shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview where you can show us why you're an amazing tutor.

Successful candidates will recieve a conditional offer, and we will perform background checks once the offer has been accepted.

WHY DO WE PERFORM BACKGROUND CHECKS?

At Merlin Tuition we believe in providing a safe and stimulating environment for our learners. In order to work with any learners under the age of 18, all tutors must have an enhanced DBS.
Whilst this is not a requirement of many tuition agencies, we understand the importance of assuring the safety and quality of our tutors.
Only successful candidates will be subjected to vetting and barring checks upon accepting a conditional offer from us.

WHAT SUBJECTS CAN I TUTOR?

We welcome tutors from a wide variety of fields to tutor with Merlin Tuition. Our most highly demanded subjects are presently Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, but that doesn't mean that we aren't after other subjects too!
